Anna Nuzha

Anna Nuzha started to play cello when she was 7. She was invited to study instrument at a Special music school for gifted children. Being a student and a post-graduate student of the Kiev Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, she won some international and regional contests, among them are following:
The National Contest of Student Quartettes, Moscow (1989); The International Lysenko Contest of violoncellist (I-st prize-winner, Ukraina,1992); Music World International Competition (I-st prize winner, nomination-duo instrumental (Fivizzano,Italy,2002); International festival in memory of Horowitz (I-st prize -winner, nomination-chamber ensembles,Kiev,1994). She is a finalist of the International Chamber Music Competition "Premio Vittorio Gui" (Italy,Firenze), participant of the International String Quartet Competition "Premio Paolo Borciani"(Italy,1990).

In 1995 she was invited to the Schleswig-Holstein International Festival (lessons from prof. B. Pergamenschikov).

From her early age she had a particular passion for the piano trio repertoire, and since March of 2008 till present she has been a member of "Art-Line trio".

Since 1992 till present she has been a member of chamber music ensemble "Kiev" (The National House of Organ and Chamber music of Ukraine). While playing in this ensemble she studied at the International Mozart Academy (Krakow, Poland, 1994-1995) with R.Filippini, C.Poppen, Dario da Rosa, A.Lonquich, A.Satz, B.Pergamenschikov.

From 1997 till 2005 she was a soloist of the National Philarmonic Society of Ukraine.

From 1999 till 2008 she was invited to the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy to give violoncello lessons to graduate and post-graduate students.

She has also had a freelance experience. In 2001 as a member of the board of adjudicators she took part at the "New-Names" which was All-Ukrainian Competition and "Art of the 21-Century"being an International Competition.

While playing with piano trio she has performed in various festivals, such as: "Musicades" International music festival-lessons from S.Nissel, B.Canino, M.Sirbu, R.Filippini (Lion,France,1999); "Prague-Vienna-Budapest" International Summer Academy of chamber music-lessons from L.Leonskaya, C.C.Shuster (Altenberg-trio), Mezo (Bartok-guartet)(Austria,1999); "Orlando-Festival"-lessons from E.Carliss (Guilliard String Quartet), D.Shebalin (Borodin-Quartet), A.Mihaly (List Music Academy), Netherlands 1991.

She has rich soloist experience. She performed with different chamber and symphony orchestras of Ukraine concerts by: I.Haydn (C and D-major), C.Saint-Sałns, E.Lalo, A.Dvorak, F.Znosko-Borovsky, S.Barboza; symphony poems "Don Quixote" by R.Strauss, "Schelomo" by E.Bloch, "Col Nidrei" by M.Bruch, "Hungarian rhapsody" by D.Popper, etc…
